Appreciating the What Is During the What Isn’t

I don’t know about you, but I’m finding this solitary existence rather difficult lately.

I’m missing cuddling with my wife even though we live remotely in the same house (her being a nurse). Touch. And hugging my kids. And hanging out with friends over drinks, good food, conversation and laughter.

That’s what I miss.

But I’m trying to make the most of it.

I’m trying to…

Read books that have been waiting for me.

Listening to endless new music on Spotify.

Catching up on some films… although weirdly I’m not watching that much.

Avoiding the news as much as I can.

FaceTiming with those I love.

Hold the odd ZOOM meeting with my bosom buddies… TLSers to be precise.

Keep in shape… although I’ve let that slide a bit.

In other words, I’m trying to avoid things that will make me unhappy and insane.

And enjoy things that will help me come out of the other side of this happy and sane.

How about you?

How are you doing?

What are you doing?

Know I love you and have you in my thoughts and heart.

Love,

David
