Today’s small piece of toast is in keeping with yesterday’s lapletter about independence.

The philosopher/ theologian Søren Kierkegaard believed many adults can be so much like schoolchildren– we will copy answers from each other’s slates and never find the solution for ourselves.

This is my observation: once you get over the fear that searching for the truth for yourself is wrong, rebellious, or even sinful, then the confidence in your own ability to discover it will appear.
