One of the things I like about the story of the Garden of Eden is when Adam and Eve hear God walking about the garden in the cool of the day.
It reminds me of an old old hymn my mom loves, and which I’ve lead congregations in singing at hundreds of funerals, and which no one can sing better than Mahalia Jackson, “I Come To The Garden Alone”.
You know… we don’t have to be straining in our minds and spirits all day every day. Life doesn’t have to always be hard work. We don’t always have to be struggling and wrestling to understand.
It’s okay to just relax and enjoy life.
Don’t forget about our Potluck tomorrow, “Can I Be Feminist and Spiritual?” with Amy. Should be fun! But until then, relax, like I’m going to go do right now!
