I think back on the times when I felt trapped.

My freedom came immediately upon realizing that I wasn’t trapped at all, but only afraid of the consequences of acting upon my freedom.

Fear.

That’s the biggest obstacle to almost everything.

Now, it wasn’t that the consequences of my acting upon my freedom went away. Not at all. They were still there. But I realized that with a mixture of courage, adventure, and even a kind of faith or hope or optimism or whatever you want to call it, I could do it.

So I walked out of my self-made prison into my freedom, all within hours.

It launched us into one of the most exciting times of our lives and taught us that we could do it again. And again. And again.

And we have.

And we will.
