Do What Helps YOU!

I’m hitting on this theme lately because I see so many people struggling with doing what they want or even need to do to be healthy and feel happy.

Sure, I sometimes struggle with this.

I’ll give you an example:

The other day I felt like putting on New Age music and to put some essential oils in our infuser (my favorite right now is Lavender) and meditate. But in the back of my mind a voice was saying, “Don’t be stupid. Why dabble in nonsense? What hokey-pokey! If you don’t believe in superstition why do superstitious things?”

There would have been a day when I would have listened to that voice.

Now, I just do what I feel would be helpful to me right now.

What is it that you want to do that either internal or external voices are saying you shouldn’t?

What is it that you don’t want to do that either internal or external voices are saying you should?

We no longer have to put ourselves last or even second, but first!

Taking care of ourselves is not selfish or sinful,
but necessary for a happy and compassionate life.
