I was checking some older conversations on TLS and came across this one, “Are You An Ally? Crazy Facebook At It Again!”. I believe in teams and allies. But I believe they are made up of independent individuals. The pressure to conform and think and believe the same as others is enormous.

The best education teaches us not what to think but how to think.

The best of religion doesn’t provide a book of instructions on what to believe and how to live, but provides a milieu where we can learn to be good, compassionate and wise in our own unique way.

Of course it’s good to compare notes, dialog, research, explore, compare, measure, check in… as long as all these things contribute to our spirituality being independent and self-determining.
