One of the struggles many of us on TLS experience is… okay… now that I’ve deconstructed, how can I reconstruct?

I have an answer for that with a story:

Once upon a time there was a beautiful field, and in the center of this field was a spring of fresh water. People and animals filled this beautiful place. Some men came along and, in order to protect the spring, surrounded it with stones. Eventually these stones became a wall. Then, in order to protect it more efficiently, they built a fortress around it. Then they charged people to buy the water so that they could maintain the fortress.

One day some revolutionaries came along and became very angry, informing the people that there were other fields and springs like this everywhere and that this water should be free. They tore down the fortress and scattered the stones surrounding the spring and chased the builders away.

Now all that remains is a beautiful field, and in the center of this field is a spring of fresh water. People and animals fill this beautiful place.

This is just a suggestion: why reconstruct? Why not enjoy the open field? Why not enjoy the spring and fresh water? I know this is a new way to live for many of us who were raised on such an intricately structured belief and behavior system where every thought and move was dictated.

I believe that over time you will see that this freedom without walls or structures is actually very liberating.
