To_The_Wonder_US_Theatrical_Release_Poster,_2013

I highly recommend watching “To The Wonder” by Terrence Malick. He wrote and directed my favorite movie of all time, “The Thin Red Line”. I love anything he does. But this one… wow!

Watch it if you can. I found the rich spiritual/philosophical themes overwhelmingly moving. It is like visual poetry. I’ve watched it twice already and plan on watching it many times more. It would be like me going back to a favorite painting in an art museum over and over again. There are just so many layers of meaning.

Something else I like about this movie is that he uses the music of Arvo Pärt, the Estonian composer, who is also someone I am a fan of and listen to pretty much every day.

Malick doesn’t score high marks with critics. You have to “get” him. But if you do, you will have a profound and meaningful experience watching this film.

I wrote a lot in my journal during and after watching this film.

That’s my spiritual exercise for today. I would love to hear what it means to you.

Much love my friends!
