I have always found, and continue to find, this reluctance to discuss, to ask questions, and to try to see things from another person’s perspective, very disappointing.
It has often seemed to me to be an appeal to an authority outside the Bible, which will correctly interpret the Bible for people.
(Need I point out the contradiction here?)
Of course, when you’re fully accepting, trusting, and unaware of this external authority, it’s “just what the Bible says”!
@Tim so true. I think, at least in America, Fundamentalists are horrified that someone may not believe in the Bible. And I also like to mention all the polygamy that went on the Bible. It was not always one man one woman!
And LOL at the contradiction.
