Jesus said that if we leave friends and family for his sake… which I believe means for the sake of truth… that we will be given much more in terms of friendship and family. This has been my experience. I have lost some friends and family, but I have gained so much more if only I am willing to see it and accept it.

Isn’t it interesting how we somehow find each other? Have you read “Sveiki! Meet a Latvian”? Her story would resonate with many of you.

We have members from all over the world, including Japan, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Latvia, the UK, South Africa, the USA, Canada, Chile, Holland, Thailand, Kenya… gee… am I missing anybody? Leave a comment on this post if I’ve missed your country.

It goes to show that what many of us have experienced is not a cultural thing but universal. We are trying to figure out how to be spiritual, how to be healthy spiritually, spiritually self-determining, within or outside of the walls of the church. It’s happening everywhere. And we have the pleasure of gathering with others here to learn from and support one another in this endeavor.
