I consider myself to be quite a bit of a nihilist. I believe that in turning our backs on external dogma (and metanarratives in general), we free ourselves to accept personal responsibility for the principles by which we live. I love the end of this video: “Nihilism opens up a space where [people] can create their own values.”
Very interesting. In 500 years people could be looking at our time as a transitional time in history that happened over hundreds of years. Meanwhile we just have to live our lives in what we have.
