I’m going through the grieving process right now, and I’m really glad I stumbled upon this group and your post, servantgirl. All the other accounts I’ve read of Christians losing their religion, always painted it as some great liberating experience. I’ve had moments of liberation, but mostly this horrible feelings of depression, anxiety, loneliness. And not knowing how to fill the “God-shaped hole”, as they used to say in church. I don’t have any answers yet, but yes, I grieve. Thanks for sharing your story. x D.
