CeciliaDavidson started the topic Can "God" be imperfect? in the forum Theology & Philosophy 4 months, 3 weeks ago
The question I should be asking is – should we allow the deity many people worship to be imperfect? After all, theologians of old state that “God” is the most perfect thing out there, but there’s a weakness in saying “most perfect.” That’s like saying someone’s the tallest person in Regina, but there’s still room for someone to be taller.

I’m at the point where I’m becoming more comfortable with my not really believing a god exists (or, if a god exists, I’d rather not make an attempt on focusing on it). The only issue I’ve been finding is trying to grasp the consequences of my changes in thought, because being a nonbeliever in these parts is still considered tantamount to heresy.…[Read more]

CeciliaDavidson started the topic Unsure how to address the "abandonment" of my Catholic upbringing in the forum Family & Friends 1 year, 1 month ago
My father and I had a very severe falling out some days ago, but, in his attempts to get my buttons pushed, he acted like my criticizing the Church and studying other faiths was somehow calling other people’s beliefs baloney. To be fair, I did go through such a phase and realized how much of anĀ idiot I was for doing that. As some of you know from …[Read more]

I hail from a conservative Catholic family that still believes that tarot cards are some kind of sinful thing and, frankly, I hate that I can’t even argue that I don’t use them for divination. As an aside, I do run my own business, and I’ve only had one client, as that realm isn’t too popular (though people LOVE crystals) and I’m probably one of…[Read more]
