started the topic I've Rejected Theology and Institution. Now I'm Thinking… in the forum Theology & Philosophy 1 year, 3 months ago
This weekend I’ve thought more about approaches to faith than in a long time, and I came to some new thoughts and conclusions which I’d like to pen here. I’m not saying any of this is truth or final or not subject to change, just felt I needed to get it written out and see what you thought. (I say that also so I can avoid having to put “In my op…[Read more]

Hi, so I’m a Fine Art student in the UK, I’ve had messages from a few of you over time asking to see what I do, and now you can!
I have a few haphazard blogs I intend to sort out, but right now the most concise view of everything is on my Etsy, and I thought I’d share it with you
It’s a variety of stuff, mostly abstract, and there should…[Read more]

Booksbooks books.
Any theologian has them. Lots of them. With their shiny (male) names on the cover and verbose writing styles, each encouraging whatever theology one believes in whilst quietly refuting others… right?
I’ve read quite a few christian books about christian things, and non-christian things (then I decided I found the…[Read more]

This topic was spurred by another argument with my dad, here’s the offset:
He was chastising both me and my partner for not being “active enough” in the “LOCAL church” (emphasis needed). I told him that most of my spiritual and interpersonal growth comes from an online community… well he didn’t like that. He waxed lyrical about how the LOCAL…[Read more]

So I was reading today’s daily bread and it triggered something about the topic of forgiveness and questions about it I’ve had for a long time.
It’s such an emphasised topic in churches (in my experience anyway). I’ve heard sermons on how someone will forgive the murderer who killed their family, or someone forgiving a terrorist who slaughtered …[Read more]

Putting Google Glass into use. If you’ve not heard of it, Glass is a project google have been working on for a few years now, to have connection wherever you are, and video and camera functions on command. I wasn’t sure about it until I saw this video and now I think it’s pretty awesome.
Technology, man! I’m pretty excited

Okay this was a really difficult one to decide on a topic for…
It was instigated by my Dad starting to read this book the pastor at his church recommended;
“Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert” (Link to amazon page)
Then today he mentioned that in the opening lines she states how she was a lesbian, feminist and intellectual. All good …[Read more]

Hello all,
There’s a bit of necessary background but I’ll try to be as concise as possible.
I was born into a fairly strict reformed family in the UK. I am 20 and I’m currently living at university residence away from parents.I am agender. This means I am neither a man or a woman. My pronoun is “they”, not she or he. If you want to ask me a…[Read more]

Hello all.
This community is what I’ve been gasping for for years now.
I’ve always felt a dissent with the brand of christianity I fell into, and though I’ve not lost the core of my faith, everything surrounding it has changed, and for the better.
For a long time I thought the ideas I had were solely my own, based on nothing and even…[Read more]
